A sympathetic extension to a period home

Alongside restoration and renovation, we now design and raise bespoke new oak-framed buildings and extensions, from pool houses and garages to garden rooms. The same traditional joinery and conservation-led care go into new work as into old.
At Henley Cottage, a Grade II listed cottage, a new extension was added with a contemporary feel inside, while its handmade details match the external finishes of the existing house.
The extension was part of a full, conservation-led restoration of the cottage, with a full reroof and underfloor heating fitted throughout without changing the character of the building.

Each oak frame extension is designed for its site, cut by hand with traditional joinery, and pegged, with hand-finished joints.
